What we collect, and what we do not

Short version: this website collects nothing about you at all.

This website

Kazira’s website has no accounts, no tracking pixels, no advertising scripts and no analytics that identify you. We do not set cookies for tracking.

The enquiry form on the contact page does not send anything to a server or a database. It builds a message and hands it to WhatsApp or your email app, and you press send. That means we only ever receive what you deliberately choose to send us — and nothing is stored on this website along the way.

The only thing loaded from outside is the typeface, from Google Fonts. If you would rather avoid that entirely, your browser’s content blocker will stop it and the site still works.

If you contact us

When you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we keep that conversation so we can reply and quote properly. We use it for that purpose only.

We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share your details with anybody, and we do not pass your number to other businesses. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will.

If you become a client

Building a system for you sometimes means handling your customers’ information — names, phone numbers, job addresses. We treat that seriously, because under Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019 it is your legal responsibility as the business that collects it, and a badly built system creates a problem you would have to answer for.

How we build

  • Collect as little as possible. A cleaning job needs a name, a phone number and an address. It does not need an ID number, a date of birth, or anything else. We design forms that ask only for what the work requires.
  • Tell you exactly what is stored and where. In plain language, in the handover guide, so you can answer the question if a customer ever asks it.
  • No passwords or keys in the code. Anything secret is kept out of the files and out of any public repository. This is a common and serious mistake in cheaply built systems.
  • Accounts in your name. Your hosting and data accounts belong to you, not to us, so you keep control of your own customers’ information.
  • A way to delete. If a customer asks you to remove their details, the system should let you do it. We build that in rather than leaving you stuck.

Access during a project

While building, we sometimes need access to real data to test things properly. Where we can, we use made-up sample data instead. Where we genuinely need the real thing, we only keep access for as long as the work requires it, and we remove our access at handover.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Message us and we will do it — there is no form to fill in and no charge.

Who to contact

Any question about privacy or your data: WhatsApp +254 798 627 973, or use the contact page.

Not legal advice. This page explains how Kazira works. It is not a legal opinion on your obligations. If you handle customer data at scale, it is worth getting proper advice on the Data Protection Act 2019 and whether you need to register with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
